Property Sale Tax in Uzbekistan

The key rule: if you have owned the property for 3 years or more — no tax is due. This is the most common situation: most sellers acquired their property long before selling and qualify for the exemption.

If the ownership period is less than 3 years, a 12% tax applies only to the profit (sale price minus purchase price), not the full sale amount. Properly documenting expenses (renovation, agent fees, notary) significantly reduces the tax base.
